A few things to take note of:
- Take photographs of the damage. This will also help you with any insurance claims you may file.
- Collect as many pieces as possible and store them in (preferably) individual containers. Ziplock bags work well for this purpose.
- Artwork that has been broken may be structurally unsound. To avoid any additional damage, provide adequate support and cushioning for the piece.
- Take care when handling broken pieces - especially glass. You don’t want to damage yourself!
